Description

ActiveImage Protector Virtual Edition is a high-speed, secure disk imaging backup solution that performs live back ups of entire volumes including the operating systems and applications of Windows and Linux virtual machines. ActiveImage Protector Virtual Edition licensing options provide a “Virtual Environment License” or a “Cloud License” and includes Windows Server, Desktop and Linux Editions.

New Features
The new version of ActiveImage Protector is built with new GUI offering drastically improved user-friendliness in backup / restore operation of image files. The new ActiveImage Protector comes with ImageCenter LE, a Centralized Image Management tool for ActiveImage Protector, that offers scheduled offsite replication of base and incremental backup images files, and ImageBoot that can boot any ActiveImage Protector backup image as a virtual machine in minutes. Also, the new ActiveImage Protector provides Multi-Scheduling feature allowing to flexibly reschedule time-consuming tasks in off-peak hours enabling system administrators to more efficiently manage scheduling of backup tasks.The new version is able to restore multiple source images to multiple target disks in a single operation. Bootable bare metal GPT/uEFI system recovery is also available.

Unique License options
ActiveImage Protector Virtual Edition licensing options provide a “Virtual Environment License” or an “ActiveImage Protector Virtual Edition Cloud License”.

Virtual Environment License
Provides the means to install one copy to one physical machine or host, in addition to virtual copies of ActiveImage Protector to an unlimited number of virtual machines on that host regardless of the system type or number of guest operating systems with no additional licenses to purchase for Linux required.

Cloud License
One licensed copy of Cloud Licensing provides support for up to five virtual machines in a Cloud environment.

ActiveImage Protector Virtual Edition includes Windows Server, Desktop and Linux Editions.
